For more than 20 years, Downtown Giants has served as a nonprofit youth athletic organization committed to developing young athletes both on and off the court. Our program has consistently emphasized skill development, teamwork, discipline, and character.We are now preparing to take an important next step: the launch of our first High School Girls National 16u basketball team. This step would currently make us the only downtown Manhattan 16u High School Girls National team.This initiative is built around a dedicated group of athletes who have demonstrated long-term commitment to our program. Many of these players have been with Downtown Giants for several years, consistently showing discipline, resilience, and a strong team-first mindset. Their development, both individually and collectively, has positioned them to compete at a higher level. All of our DTG Girls will have this opportunity to one day play for our National High School teams.Having competed extensively in local and regional events, including tournaments such as Spooky Nook, this group is ready for national exposure. Advancing to the national circuit will provide them with increased visibility and access to collegiate recruitment opportunities.In addition to benefiting these athletes, establishing a national team will strengthen our overall program by creating a clear development pathway for younger players. It sets a standard of excellence and provides a long-term vision for growth within Downtown Giants.As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we rely on community support to make initiatives like this possible. We are actively seeking both corporate sponsorship and individual contributions to help cover key expenses, including tournaments, coaching, uniforms, equipment, and related costs. We are also committed to offering partial and full scholarships—including travel support—to ensure all qualified players have equal access to this opportunity.Our goal is to provide these athletes with the platform they have earned—one that allows them to gain exposure, pursue academic and athletic advancement, and represent Downtown Giants at the highest level.We welcome your support in any capacity, whether through direct contributions or introductions to potential corporate partners.
